VenueIf the session is at your venue, you will need tables and chairs for your team and our trainer. The room will need to have either a screen or a blank wall to project onto.
Please also supply a long extension lead to make sure everyone can have power to their laptops, and we can have power to our projector. Let us know if you do not have this available.
If you have a projector, then it would be helpful to use it so we can travel lighter. It will need to have a HDMI input. If not, then we can bring our own.
Please also have your Wi-Fi credentials to hand for us and your team.
ArrivalWe aim to be with you 15-30 minutes before the session starts in order to setup our equipment and log on to your Wi-Fi.
If you can ask people to get the session 15 minutes before the session start time they can also make sure they can get their laptops setup and be connected to the Wi-Fi.
What to BringPlease ask your team to bring a laptop (NOT iPad), notebook and pen.
People will need to have a user account setup with the correct permissions, if you need us to do this then we can. We will email attendees before the session with the login name and password and it would be great if they can try and login before the session so we can maximise the time on the training topics.
The Day
This day will be tailored to your church and focus on what will help you the most. We prepare the training, and bring documentation to share with you and can update the documentation.
Generally, we start off with an overview of the system to help you feel comfortable with what you can see on the screen when you first log in.
We then go through mastering the basics of editing your website like adding pages with images and links, editing your church calendar and uploading sermons.
Later in the day varies on how you are using ChurchInsight and what you would like help with. For some, we dig deeper into the admin and communication features and for others, they need more help with editing their site if they have a more advanced template or bespoke design.
Whatever you choose to cover, there is always time for questions and answers.
We just try to help you the best way we can!
We are here to help you make your website and church management system a success.
Breaks, refreshments and Lunch
It's important to take regular breaks, and get refreshments! We usually stop for a tea/coffee break mid-morning and then have a break for lunch if the session is booked over that time. If the session is a full day, then it's also good to have an afternoon break.
If the session is at your venue, then we ask that you provide drinks, snacks and lunch for your team and our trainer. We really find making this day as nice as possible for your team makes the day more special and it can be a great team and relationship building exercise. We are happy to provide drinks, refreshments and lunch for no extra fee if you come to our office for training.
