A GOOD CHURCH WEBSITE SHOULD BE PART OF CHURCH GROWTH STRATEGY

Increasingly, visitors visit a church website before deciding whether to make a real-life visit. What they find there will affect their choice.

See the latest links in our own page of Tips for Church Sites - which includes Church Growth links at the end: http://ied.gospelcom.net/church-growth.php

(Do you have any short examples we can quote on this page, of people who saw your website, visited your church, and became Christians?)

"10 EASY WAYS to Keep Me from Visiting Your Church Because I Visited Your Website" - Tony Morgan of Grainger Community Church offers some vital insights:

And if they do visit - will they come again? 'Assimilation' refers to the vital task of drawing people into the church fellowship and discipling them. These links are worth reading:

BLOG NEWS

The beauty of a page of 'blog' feeds is that it automatically draws in the thoughts and wisdom of a range of commentators. Our own page of blogs will often include pearls of wisdom from the writers we have chosen: http://ied.gospelcom.net/blogframe.php

Check out, for instance, the link to a new focus day for churches in October - in this case, about the problems of p.o...n. It's under the heading 'Digital Outreach' in the left-hand menu.

DOWNLOADABLE CARTOON FOR KIDS

Yippee Films offer a downloadable 5-minute animated cartoon called Monsters and Me, about overcoming fears with the help of Jesus. Hard copies can also be ordered, though quality of the download is good enough for a data projector. (You'll need broadband to download - it is a large file.)

RUNNING AN INTERNET EVANGELISM DAY EVENT

IE Day in 2007 has been fixed for 29 April. For more information click here: http://ied.gospelcom.net/partners.php

However, you don't need to wait that long - all our downloadable resources for a church focus day work just as well any time!

And although our materials are designed to enable any Christian group to create their own customized event, if you are looking for an outside speaker about any aspect of web evangelism, within for example a conference, it is possible that we may be able to find someone within traveling distance of your area.
